International students need a place where they can experience what they often lack ­ a safe place that helps them flourish and grow and learn. This is an environment of optimum vulnerability to learn from others, to educate/share with others about their cultures, to form relationships, and to be themselves. True friendship and ministry happens and thrives in a safe place.
 
A safe place tends to be the one most elusive aspect of life as an international student. We feel God is calling us to create a safe place for international students.

1. in our hearts and attitudes towards the international students
- awareness of their needs.
- loving and accepting them for who they are.
- helping meet their physical/emotional needs.
- being vulnerable - creating an environment where we can truly get to know each other.

2. physically
- The Embassy : place where international students can come and be. A building on campus they know is just for them to hang out, be loved and accepted, and a place to learn and grow.
